Endodontics
Deep infections at the center of a tooth may require root canal treatment. This is a common procedure, often used to save a tooth that may otherwise be lost due to infection. The dead nerves and infection are removed from the root canal. It is then cleaned and sealed with a biocompatible filling. Root canals are very safe and effective for dealing with tooth infections.
Teeth can get injured in all sorts of ways. A baseball game may result in a chipped tooth, or judo class might leave an entire gap in your smile. Be it a small fracture or a knocked-out tooth, we offer endodontic procedures for repairing and replacing injured teeth. From porcelain crowns to dental implants, we’ll fix your smile and restore your teeth no matter the injury.
When a root canal treatment doesn’t fix an infection, an apicoectomy may be the solution. Apicoectomies are a common, minor dental surgery with very high success rates. During the procedure, we remove the end of the root and the surrounding, inflamed gum tissue. The top of the tooth is completely preserved. The root is sealed with a biocompatible filling material.
